Auto Nation Group Inc., (ANG) the general distributor for Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in the Philippines, is pleased to announce its latest handover of a new fleet of Actros trucks to Agojo Transport Corporation.
The new Actros bears out the “Trucks You can Trust” promise given by Mercedes-Benz. Awarded as Truck of the Year 2020 – the new Actros is setting new benchmarks when it comes to technology and safety on the road, regardless of its application.
The Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles team from ANG handed over a fleet of the new Actros to Agojo Transport Corporation last October 14th. Agojo Transport Corporation is a long-distance fuel transportation company based in Batangas. The company is responsible for transporting fuel across the island of Luzon, which comes with great responsibility and requires high safety standards. In line with these high safety standards, the new fleet of Actros trucks is equipped with the latest technology and safety features available for the flagship of Mercedes-Benz.
The safety feature that stands out is the Active Brake Assist 5. The fifth generation of the system assists the driver that, under ideal conditions and within the system’s capabilities, it can apply maximum full-stop braking when approaching stationary and moving objects, and apply partial or maximum full-stop braking for moving pedestrians, thus mitigating or even preventing accidents entirely.
This helps to improve road safety not only for the drivers but also for other road users. The new Actros fleet of Agojo Transport Corporation is the first fleet in the Philippines that is equipped with ABA5.
