Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) officially launched the New City Hatchback on June 14, 2024, at Bonifacio High Street. The updated model boasts updates to its interior and exterior, but more importantly, it now also comes with Honda SENSING. This is a follow-up to its predecessor, which previously held 90% of the B-Segment hatchback market share.

The City Hatchback model’s familiar versatile sportiness has been improved with an updated RS body kit, including a new bumper and front grille. It also comes fitted with 16-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels, with radial, unrestrained spokes to support its sporty image with its large diameter.

Honda SENSING will now make rides in the New City Hatchback extra safe and fun. This driver-assist system was developed as a response to the brand’s goal to realize a collision-free society by 2050, providing safer roads for all who use them.

The Honda SENSING features supported on the New City Hatchback are:

    1. Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN)
    2. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
    3. Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
    4. Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
    5. Road Departure Mitigation and Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW)
    6. Auto High Beam (AHB)

For added safety and convenience, the New City Hatchback now has a Walk Away Auto Door Lock and six airbags. Technological updates include a 4.2” TFT Meter and Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Seats are made with RS full leather. It comes in Sonic Pearl Gray, a color not currently available for any other HCPI model. Other available colors are: Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic.

Offered only as an RS variant, the New City Hatchback retails at PHP1,189,000.
