Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) has donated two units of the H-100 to the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) National Capital Region (NCR) office. Both will be turned into disaster response and management vehicles in support of the various reach-out operations undertaken by the agency.

Representing HMPH during the formal handover last January 25 at the DSWD-NCR Sanctuary Center were Dongwook Lee, president; Cecil Capacete, managing director; and Hongshik Chin, chief finance officer. They were welcomed by DSWD-NCR’s Assistant Regional Director for Operations Miriam Navarro, and Assistant Regional Director for Administration Benchie Gonzales, on behalf of Regional Director Atty. Michael Lorico.

“When Hyundai Motor Company shifted into a mobility solutions provider in 2019, it meant enlarging our roles as an automotive manufacturer. Since then, we have been pursuing innovative ways in which we can provide freedom of movement for the benefit of both people and the community at large,” according to Lee. “Earlier in the month, DSWD celebrated its 73rd founding anniversary. Please allow me to extend our congratulations. We, as Hyundai Motor Philippines, are thankful that we get to now be a part of continuing your mission as the country’s ‘compassion central’. We look forward to our ever-reliable H-100 becoming your partner in uplifting more Filipino lives.”
