Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently delivered 15 units of Isuzu NLR77 PUV Class 3 to MIMAROPA Transport Cooperative, accelerating the modernization of their fleet, which will serve commuters from Calapan City to Pinamalayan in Oriental Mindoro.
A first-time buyer of Isuzu, the cooperative previously operated UV express on the same route but recently decided to upgrade to Isuzu NLR77 PUV Class 3 to cater to the increasing number of commuters in the area and to align with LTFRB franchising guidelines for long-distance routes.
“We choose Isuzu because of its renowned durability, fuel efficiency, and the fact that it is very easy to maintain. These modern PUVs will improve the quality of service that we provide to our customers in the area,” said Albert Cayetano, chairman of the board of MIMAROPA Transport Cooperative.
The Isuzu NLR77 PUV Class 3 runs on a 4JH1-TC Blue Power Diesel Engine that is not only durable but also very easy to maintain. With parts availability nationwide, transport cooperatives need not worry about vehicle downtime. With the body built by CENTRO, the Isuzu PUV Class 3 is capable of carrying up to 23 passengers comfortably, ideal for long trips, especially in the province. Compliant with PNS guidelines, it is equipped with GPS, CCTV, Speed Limited, Dashboard Camera, WIFI, and Automated Fare Collection System for the convenience of both the driver and its passengers.
When asked what’s the secret for the continuous sale of their PUVs, IPC VP for sales Yasuhiko Oyama said, “In Isuzu, we listen to our customers, so that we can provide the best business solutions. Considering the route and operational condition of the cooperative, the Isuzu NLR77 PUV Class 3 proves to be the best fit for them. Aside from our durable products, it is our excellent aftersales support that we strengthen the most, especially for fleet customers. We always make sure that our parts are readily available nationwide, and that we have dealerships in strategic locations. Then for those really far flung, we service them via our Mobile Medic trucks. We know how important it is that their vehicle would have less downtime, so we support them as soon as possible.”
Truly, the country’s number one truck brand does not put any brakes into delivering quality products and excellent aftersales service, which is why there is no doubt their customers nationwide keep coming back for more, and they keep on attracting new customers along the way.
