MobilityCarsMIAS 2026: Drive Smart, Drive Changan

At the Manila International Auto Show, Changan Philippines, under Inchcape Philippines, presented a lineup that reflects a clear shift toward smarter, more diverse mobility. Anchored on the “Drive Smart, Drive Changan” direction, the brand brought together gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles across multiple segments, giving Filipino drivers more ways to transition toward electrified mobility.

The Core Crossover: Changan CS35 Max

Leading the lineup is the all-new CS35 Max, a more aggressive and driver-focused evolution of one of Changan’s best-selling models. Designed for urban professionals, it features larger dimensions and a longer wheelbase that translate to improved cabin space and comfort.

Power comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged BlueCore engine paired with a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission, producing 180 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Multiple drive modes allow drivers to adjust performance depending on road conditions.

Inside, the CS35 Max offers a refined and tech-forward cabin. A 10.25-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto anchors the dashboard, while higher variants add a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Safety features include stability control, hill assist systems, and available adaptive cruise control and a 540-degree camera system on the Luxe variant.

The CS35 Max is priced at PHP1,109,999 for the Lite variant and PHP1,199,999 for the Luxe.

The Everyday Sedan: Changan Eado Plus

The Eado Plus represents Changan’s push into the subcompact sedan segment, offering a balance of space, styling, and everyday usability. Designed as a practical daily driver, it combines a spacious cabin with modern design and value-focused features.

Positioned as one of the brand’s volume models, the Eado Plus is priced at PHP750,000 for the Lite variant and PHP799,999 for the Luxe, making it an accessible option for drivers seeking a feature-rich sedan without stretching their budget.

The Electrified Pickup: Changan Nevo Hunter K50

One of the standout models is the Nevo Hunter K50, described as the world’s first range-extended electric pickup. It combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged range extender with dual electric motors, delivering both capability and flexibility.

The system provides a pure electric range of 131 kilometers and a total range of up to 1,031 kilometers (NEDC). Multiple drive modes, including Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud, and Off-road, allow it to adapt to different terrains and driving conditions.

The Hunter K50 is priced at PHP1,699,000 for the 4×2 variant and PHP1,970,000 for the 4×4.

The Plug-In Hybrid SUV: Changan Nevo Q05

For drivers looking to enter electrified mobility, the Nevo Q05 offers a plug-in hybrid solution in the compact SUV segment. It uses a 1.5-liter engine paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission, producing 212hp and 330Nm of torque.

The Q05 delivers a pure electric range of up to 115 kilometers and a total combined range of up to 1,215 kilometers, supported by an 18.4kWh battery. It can operate in battery electric, hybrid, or range-extended modes, giving drivers flexibility depending on their needs.

Pricing is set at PHP1,259,000 for the SE variant and PHP1,449,000 for the iD variant.

Compact Electric Mobility: Changan Lumin

Completing the lineup is the Lumin, a compact battery electric vehicle designed for city driving. Its small footprint makes it easy to maneuver in tight urban spaces, while its simple, functional design keeps the focus on everyday usability.

Powered by a front-mounted motor producing 47hp and 83Nm of torque, the Lumin offers battery options with up to 190 kilometers or 301 kilometers of range.

It is priced at PHP699,000 for the S variant and PHP799,000 for the L variant, making it one of the more accessible entry points into fully electric mobility.

A Broader Approach to Mobility

Changan’s presence at MIAS highlights a strategy built on flexibility. Rather than focusing on a single technology, the brand is expanding across multiple powertrains, from traditional gasoline engines to plug-in hybrids and full EVs.

With options ranging from compact city cars to electrified pickups, the lineup reflects a practical approach to modern mobility—one that allows drivers to choose how and when they transition toward more efficient and electrified driving.
