At the 2025 Manila International Auto Show, the crowd witnessed a reinvigorated Isuzu brand, seamlessly blending its time-tested reputation for durability with a bold new direction in design, technology, and customer experience.
Taking center stage was the public debut of the new 2025 Isuzu mu-X, marking a significant evolution for the brand’s flagship SUV. Alongside it, the award-winning Isuzu D-MAX and a full range of light commercial vehicles reminded showgoers why Isuzu remains a trusted name in performance and reliability.
The New mu-X: Redesigned for the Modern Filipino Driver

Launched just days before in a media preview, the 2025 mu-X made its first public appearance at MIAS—and it did not disappoint. The new look is aggressive and aerodynamic, thanks to its redesigned grille and bumper featuring an “Air Curtain” system that reduces drag and noise. The rear is no less stylish, with sleek embrace-line tail lamps and massive 20-inch Dynamic Turbine alloy wheels, giving the mu-X a premium road presence.
Step inside, and the cabin transforms into a sophisticated space: all-black leather interior, piano black trims, and calming blue ambient lighting that reflect the SUV’s refined personality. The new mu-X is offered in both RZ4E and 3.0L Blue Power engine variants—catering to both city cruisers and adventure-ready families.
But perhaps the biggest leap forward is in safety. The updated Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) now features a Gen4 SMART Duo Camera with a 120° field of view and 120-meter range—boosting driver confidence in both urban and highway conditions.
D-MAX: Still the Pick-up King

While the mu-X led the headlines, the Isuzu D-MAX continued to draw attention. Fresh from winning Best Engine Performance and Best Value for Money at the 2024–2025 Auto Focus Media’s Choice Awards, the D-MAX proved once again that it’s more than just a workhorse—it’s a lifestyle truck built on Isuzu’s legendary truck DNA.
The D-MAX balances rugged off-road capability with everyday practicality, offering drivers the durability of a commercial-grade vehicle with the comforts of a modern pickup.
