Mitsubishi Motors Philippine Corporation (MMPC) reveals its newest pick-up variant, the Mitsubishi Strada Athlete. The powerful and durable truck now carries a tougher and sportier aesthetic design with its black dynamic shield, black front bumper garnish, 18-inch black alloy wheels, black roof, styling bar and side decal accents that are matched with a luxurious two-tone interior finish. These enhancements provide a bolder and tougher attitude for the Strada nameplate that will appeal very well to pick-up enthusiasts.

The Mitsubishi Strada Athlete is equipped with a 2.4L MIVEC Turbo Clean Diesel engine that produces 181ps and 430Nm of torque. It is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission with Super Select 4WD II system that—on the Strada Athlete 4×4 variant—allows you to shift to 4 driving modes on the fly.

The Strada Athlete flaunts a two-tone black and orange leather with orange stitching accents in its seats, gear shift panel and floor center console that further exude the sporty look and feel inside. With the passengers’ comfort in mind, the cabin carries a clever J-line design to maximize interior space—giving the second row a better legroom. In addition to all these, the Strada Athlete is also equipped with 8-way power-adjust driver seat and cruise control to help lessen driver fatigue during long drives.

The Strada Athlete 4×2 version carries a PHP 1,443,000 price tag, while the Strada Athlete 4×4 costs PHP 1,760,000. Three color options are available: sunflare orange pearl (exclusive to the Athlete variant), white diamond, and graphite gray metallic. Both variants are now offered in all Mitsubishi Motors showrooms nationwide.
