MobilityCarsNissan PH launches new generation Kicks e-POWER

The new-generation subcompact SUV adds updated design, connectivity, comfort, and ProPILOT while retaining Nissan’s electric motor-driven e-POWER system.

Nissan Philippines has introduced the All-New Nissan Kicks e-POWER, ushering in a new generation of its electrified subcompact SUV four years after the nameplate first arrived in the Philippine market.

First introduced locally in 2022, the Kicks brought Nissan’s e-POWER technology to the subcompact crossover segment, offering an electric motor-driven experience without requiring external charging. The new-generation model builds on that foundation with updated design, technology, comfort, connectivity, and driver-assistance features.

A smarter way to go electric

Nissan e-POWER uses a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine to generate electricity while a 136 PS electric motor producing 280 Nm drives the wheels.

At the heart of the All-New Nissan Kicks is Nissan e-POWER, delivering a 100% electric motor-driven experience with 136PS and 280Nm of torque.

Its self-charging system uses a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine to generate electricity for the battery, while the electric motor drives the wheels. This gives the Kicks the responsive characteristics of electric motor-driven performance without requiring drivers to change their usual refueling habits.

Interior designed for everyday use

Inside, Nissan has focused on making everyday journeys more comfortable and convenient for both drivers and passengers. Zero Gravity seats are designed to support a comfortable seating position, while anti-heat leather upholstery helps reduce heat buildup in warm conditions.

Rear passengers benefit from an optimized seatback angle and rear armrest, while the driver gets a six-way power-adjustable seat for a more personalized driving position. The cabin also features a 12.3-inch Display Audio system with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, together with NissanConnect Services and a three-year subscription.

A bolder exterior

The All-New Nissan Kicks receives a refreshed exterior design with a more modern and expressive look. The updated front end combines Nissan’s signature V-Motion grille with a new lighting signature, complemented by triple-arrow Daytime Running Lights.

At the rear, Nissan’s signature hexagon-shaped lamps give the Kicks a distinctive appearance, while improved headlights provide wider and longer illumination to help increase visibility in low-light driving conditions.

ProPILOT joins the Kicks

Nissan ProPILOT assists with steering, acceleration, and braking and includes Intelligent Lane Keep Assist, Intelligent Cruise Control, and Traffic Jam Assist.

Advanced driver-assistance technology is another major addition, led by Nissan ProPILOT. Designed to help reduce driving stress, particularly on highways and longer journeys, the system assists with steering, acceleration, and braking.

Intelligent Lane Keep Assist helps keep the vehicle centered in its lane, while Intelligent Cruise Control helps maintain a preset speed and safe distance from the vehicle ahead. ProPILOT also includes Traffic Jam Assist, which can bring the vehicle to a stop and resume driving as traffic conditions change.

The All-New Nissan Kicks e-POWER also carries a broader suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies. These include Leading Car Departure Notification, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning with Blind Spot Intervention, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Departure Prevention, Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, High Beam Assist, and Driver Attention Alert.

The launch expands Nissan Philippines’ electrified vehicle lineup alongside the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER, giving more Filipino motorists access to the company’s e-POWER technology.

“The Philippines is an important market for Nissan, and we are grateful for the trust Filipino customers continue to place in our brand,” said Nissan Philippines president Yoshinori Kanazawa.

“The All-New Nissan Kicks e-POWER represents a new chapter for a nameplate that has become familiar to Filipino drivers. We are excited to introduce this new generation and invite customers to discover the new Nissan Kicks that are made for those who are ready to explore and Live Daring.”
