MG Motor Philippines has expanded its New Energy Vehicle portfolio at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) 2026 by introducing three new electrified models: the MG HS PHEV, MG RX9 PHEV, and MG4 EV Urban.
The launch continues the brand’s ‘The Next Wave Continues’ campaign and reflects its commitment to delivering practical and accessible electrified mobility solutions for Filipino motorists.
MG HS PHEV
Leading the launches is the new MG HS PHEV, a plug-in hybrid SUV designed to combine everyday usability with electrified efficiency.
The model is powered by a 21.6kWh battery paired with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, producing a combined 272PS. MG claims a pure electric driving range of up to 100km and a total driving range exceeding 1,000km.
Technology features include MG Pilot advanced driver assistance systems, dual 12.3-inch displays with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and premium interior appointments.
MG RX9 PHEV
Joining the lineup is the MG RX9 PHEV, the brand’s new flagship seven-seat plug-in hybrid SUV.
Its electrified powertrain combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid-dedicated engine, an electric motor, and a 24.7kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. Total system output is rated at 299PS, with a claimed electric-only range of 115km and a total range of more than 1,100km.
Premium features include dual 12.3-inch displays, MG Pilot ADAS technologies, a Bose 12-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats with massage function, power-adjustable seats with memory, and tri-zone climate control.
MG4 EV Urban
Completing the trio is the MG4 EV Urban, a compact battery-electric vehicle developed for city driving.
Powered by a 110kW electric motor and a 43.2kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, the MG4 EV Urban offers a claimed range of up to 403km (NEDC). Fast charging allows the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes.
The model also features Vehicle-to-Load capability, a 12.8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and up to 1,364 liters of cargo space with the rear seats folded.
Launch Offers
The MG HS PHEV carries an SRP of PHP1,548,888, while the MG RX9 PHEV is priced at PHP1,998,888.
Customers who reserve and purchase either model in June receive a PHP30,000 cash token, a complimentary 7kW wall charger valued at PHP30,000, and a PHP10,000 retention incentive while awaiting delivery.
The MG4 EV Urban is priced at PHP1,198,888, with a special introductory price of PHP1,148,888 for the first 100 buyers.
MG G50 PHEV Momentum
MG also reported that the G50 PHEV has surpassed 1,000 reservations nationwide, with the first customer units now being delivered.
According to the company, the plug-in hybrid MPV offers a total driving range of more than 1,400 km and continues to gain traction among Filipino families looking for practical electrified mobility.
