As part of its global expansion, ROX Motor has established exclusive partnerships across key markets in the Middle East, Central Asia, Europe, and Africa. At the 2024 Chengdu International Motor Show, the brand signed agency agreements with partners from Qatar, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, and Egypt, marking a major step in its international journey. One of the most significant milestones in its expansion is its official entry into the Philippine market through an exclusive partnership with Transcorp Inc., followed shortly by the launch of ROX Motor Philippines on September 17, 2024.
The ROX 01, the cornerstone of its product lineup, was highlighted during the launch event. The ROX 01 offers a new era of travel, elevating the driving experience to new heights and virtually eliminating compromise between city life, camping, adventurous exploration, and journeys that span long distances. It excels across four dimensions: all-terrain capability, advanced safety, luxurious comfort, and versatile entertainment. Its front and rear high-eiciency motors deliver 350kW and 740Nm of torque, achieving a stunning acceleration time of 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds, with a WLTC range of up to 1,115km. The ROX 01 is equipped with five specialized driving modes and advanced active safety features like an o-road cruise and 3D transparent chassis, enhancing its versatility and its occupants’ safety.
Two variants of the ROX 01 were revealed at the launch: The ROX 01 Sport, designed and equipped to satisfy those who seek serious off-road thrills, has robust 20-inch alloy rims with aggressive all-terrain tires. A burly roof rack is standard for loading up camping gear, supplies, and equipment for off-the-grid readiness. It’s even equipped with a heavy-duty front-to-rear bashguard to protect the ROX 01’s under chassis components, so you can traverse some serious terrain with peace of mind. Its stowable tailgate kitchen comes standard, with a detachable folding desk, a fold-out platform, storage for cookware and utensils, and an AC socket to plug in your small appliances. It even has a pop-out temperature-controlled water dispenser.
The ROX 01 also boasts a luxuriously spacious interior, with a 3,010mm wheelbase and 89% space utilization. Its flat-floor design allows easy movement and generous legroom, while premium materials like white oak wood grain and Nappa leather seats add unmistakably opulent elegance. But the ROX 01 Luxury is the 6-seater model that introduces the industry-first dual-side zero-gravity aviation seats on the second row with an 8-point airbag massage function, with ventilation or heating features. This is complemented by a customizable 256-color ambient lighting system and multi-screen entertainment.
Safety is a top priority for the ROX 01, which is made of 87% high-strength steel and 32% hot-formed steel for enhanced rigidity and impact resistance. It boasts a torsional stiffness of 40,000Nm/deg, achieving top ratings in safety tests, including full “G” certification from C-IASI and a five-star CNCAP rating. Active safety features like the AEB collision warning system, six airbags, and advanced battery protection with CATL’s ternary lithium battery ensure maximum safety across all conditions.
Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, the ROX 01 revolutionizes adventures with its “One Living Room, One Bedroom, One Kitchen” concept. A one-button camping mode simplifies setup, while features like the sunrise alarm and camping sentinel mode provide comfort, convenience, and security.
