With more and more drivers—both on two or four-wheeled vehicles—being involved in road accidents throughout the country, Honda Philippines, Inc. will be going around the Philippines to hold its Barangay Safety Riding Clinic. Further promoting the brand’s road safety advocacy, the Barangay Safety Riding Clinic (BSRC) aims to educate riders and pedestrians road rules and riding techniques designed to lessen road mishaps.

The BSRC follows a free, easy to understand, and enjoyable coursework. It debuted in Lipa City, Batangas last September 28, 2015 and has since reached 10 areas in Luzon, with expansion plans already under way for the Visayas and Mindanao legs.

Holistic in its approach, the BSRC involves coaching non-motorcycle users and first time riders with basic riding techniques; assessment of riding skills through a program by Honda’s certified safety riding instructors, and an open public lecture on road safety awareness. After going through the program, Honda hopes that the participants will understand that road safety comes from both the heart and mind.

The BSRC is made possible by Honda Safety Driving Center instructors, 3S dealer sub-instructors, and the various Honda rider clubs throughout the country.
