Yamaha Motor Philippines has introduced the all-new Mio Gear S, a scooter designed around the realities of modern urban living. Built on the campaign theme “Play Your Way,” the latest Mio Gear S reflects how people move today—balancing work, fitness, errands, content creation, social activities, and everything in between.
Rather than focusing solely on toughness, the Mio Gear S embraces adaptability. It is designed to fit naturally into various routines and lifestyles, offering a blend of practicality, efficiency, and smart technology in a compact, easy-to-manage package.
Designed for active lifestyles
To launch the new model, Yamaha created the immersive Play Lab experience, where guests explored activity zones inspired by movement, agility, endurance, flexibility, and fitness. The concept reinforced the idea that mobility is now closely tied to everyday lifestyles rather than simply getting from one place to another.
The Mio Gear S is built to support that movement through its compact dimensions, lightweight handling, and functional design, making it equally suited for commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or spontaneous city adventures.
Practicality built into every ride
A key highlight of the Mio Gear S is its emphasis on everyday utility. The scooter features an 18.6-liter underseat compartment that can accommodate daily essentials, while its spacious footboard provides additional room for bags and other items.
The multi-function grab bar includes a flat surface suitable for carrying boxes or travel bags, complemented by sturdy cargo hooks for added flexibility. Yamaha also designed the seat with a narrower profile to improve ground reach while maintaining rider comfort. A back-step further enhances comfort when carrying larger items on the footboard.
For riders who spend long hours on the road, the 5.1-liter fuel tank helps reduce the need for frequent refueling.
Confidence in the city
The Mio Gear S rides on 12-inch wide tubeless tires designed to provide added stability and confidence during everyday riding conditions. Bright LED headlights and hazard lights improve visibility, helping riders stay noticeable in different traffic and weather situations.
The scooter’s active styling combines a compact silhouette with a bold front-end design that enhances both maneuverability and road presence.
Hybrid power and smart technology
Power comes from Yamaha’s new 125cc Air-Cooled Blue Core Hybrid Engine equipped with Smart Motor Generator technology. The system delivers improved fuel efficiency and smoother, quicker acceleration through Electric Power Assist, particularly at startup and on uphill climbs.
The Stop & Start System automatically shuts off the engine during extended idling, helping reduce fuel consumption in traffic.
Additional convenience features include a large digital meter panel, an electric power socket for charging devices, and Yamaha’s Answer-Back System, which helps riders locate their motorcycle in crowded parking areas through remote-activated lights and sound.

The Yamaha Mio Gear S is available in Ceramic Gray, Basalt Gray, and Matte Brown. It carries a suggested retail price of PHP81,900.
