    The 2021 NMAX ABS, recently introduced by Yamaha Motor Philippines Inc. as a sequel to The Link, showcased the beloved machine, retaining its best features and adding state-of-the-art technology. The 2021 NMAX is now powered by Y-Connect which gives riders access to a redefined experience.

    The 2021 NMAX ABS features Y-Connect compatibility, traction control system, and smart key system. The innovative application that is poised to revolutionize the bond between man and machine enhances the multitude of features already at the disposal of the rider. By providing more data in every ride, Y-Connect gives an unprecedented experience and immersion into the MAX lifestyle. This includes fuel consumption tracking, maintenance recommendations, malfunction notification, recent parking location, and more. The addition of the traction control system reduces the drive to the rear wheel so that the tire maintains traction, allowing you to ride confidently in varying weather and road surface conditions. The smart key system, when detected, enables the rider to start the machine using the main switch knob without needing to insert the key. The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) is equipped for higher stopping control with a 230mm front and rear disc for smooth braking.

    The Max DNA continues to astound

    The 2021 NMAX ABS carries over the excellence of the previous model. It has a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, SOHC, single-cylinder, 4-valve fuel-injected 155cc engine with CVT and variable valve actuation (VVA).  It also includes the smart motor generator (SMG) for quiet engine starts and has a lighter and compact design. It is equipped with the multifunction full digital speedometer for bigger and easy-to-read LCD instruments that include a bar-type fuel gauge, speedometer, clock, fuel economy data, and also displays Y-Connect notifications when successfully paired.

    A 12V electric power socket is in the left-hand storage pocket for charging digital devices. At the same time, the right-side storage pocket comes with a waterproof lid that can fit a large 7–8-inch smartphone or tablet.  

    Signature style and comfort

    The handlebar switch control has a convenient lever-style switch for cycling through displayed data. The Maxi seat design with a two-level seat provides comfort & plenty of space for both the rider and passenger. It adopts a 6-bulb LED headlight design. Four lights on the top row for low beam and two below for high beam. The rear stylish tail light shows off a unique three-dimensional design that is absolute MAX DNA.

    The 23.3L capacity of the multifunction big luggage is enough to fit an XL Full Face Helmet. The 7.1L Fuel Tank is conveniently located inside the center tunnel and can be opened via a button press with refueling done without needing to open the seat. You can unlock the seat with an easy-to-access button. Its hinges have two springs that allows the it to unlatch slowly and naturally.

    NMAX Standard Dark Gray

    Y-Connect compatibility, traction control system, and the smart key system are exclusive to the 2021 NMAX ABS only. Available colors are sword gray, icon gray, and power gray. The suggested retail price is PHP 144,500.  

    Meanwhile, the 2021 NMAX comes in sword gray, icon gray, and matte red with an SRP of PHP 119,900.
