Yamaha Motor Philippines continued its strong 2026 racing campaign at MOTOIR Round 4, collecting race wins, podium finishes, and breakthrough results across several categories.
The weekend featured strong performances from both established Yamaha racers and developing BLU CRU riders, underscoring the depth of the Yamaha Philippines Racing Team across the underbone, supersport, and women’s divisions.
Yamaha sweeps the Underbone Open GP podium
One of the weekend’s biggest results came in the Underbone Open GP Expert category, where Yamaha riders completed a 1-2-3 finish.
McKinley Kyle Paz converted pole position into victory, followed by April King Mascardo in second and Timothy Rojas in third. The trio had also locked out the front row during the Superpole session, setting up Yamaha’s sweep of the Expert podium.
Rojas takes first win of the season
Timothy Rojas secured his first race victory of the season in the Motul Underbone GP Sprint Race, with Mascardo finishing second. The result marked an important comeback for Rojas after injuries forced him to miss Round 2. Combined with his third-place finish in the Underbone Open GP Expert race, Round 4 became his strongest weekend of the season so far.
Mascardo maintains consistent form
April King Mascardo also delivered another strong round, winning the Underbone LTD GP Expert category and finishing runner-up in both the Motul Underbone GP Sprint Race and Underbone Open GP. His results kept Yamaha at the front across multiple underbone categories and added further championship points to his 2026 campaign.
BLU CRU rider Doblada scores breakthrough Supersport win
Yamaha’s BLU CRU rider development program reached another milestone when Zain Doblada won the Supersport 200 GP, earning his first victory in the championship. Doblada also finished fourth in the Intermediate class of the Underbone LTD GP. Yamaha positions the BLU CRU program as a development pathway for emerging racers, providing opportunities to progress toward higher levels of competition.
Tolentino adds another women’s championship podium
Justinne Bethany Tolentino added another podium result for Yamaha with second place in the Supersport Bike Women’s Championship. Her result extended Yamaha’s presence across multiple divisions at MOTOIR Round 4, alongside victories and podiums from the team’s underbone and Supersport 200 riders.
