    In the latest leg of the Yamaha Sight Safe Run series, 18-year old Miguel Ocinar set a new fuel consumption record of 147km/L, riding across a 174-km route in the Bicol region. This surpasses the earlier results of 133km/L in Cagayan de Oro and 129km/L in the Metro Manila run.

    Starting from the Legazpi, Albay, the competitors rode 26.3km to Tabaco, Albay, and then another 60.7km to Iriga, Camarines Sur, before looping back to the takeoff area. Held in partnership with Motortrade, this leg included 32 participants riding their own Yamaha Sight. Media representatives were also invited to take part in the competition.

    The top finishers for this leg were as follows:
    1st – Miguel Ocinar – 147.46 km/L
    2nd – Christian Samar – 116 km/L
    3rd – Arnold Lingas – 114.47 km/L

    For the media category, the top finishers were:
    1st – Brando Rosales (Motopinas.com) – 112.26 km/L
    2nd – Maynard Marcelo (C! Magazine) – 110.83 km/L
    3rd – Randy Silva Nieto (C! Magazine) – 103.57 km/L

    The competition lets riders experience fuel-efficiency at its finest, showcasing a motorcycle that is specially designed for high performance with low fuel cost. In addition, the run also promotes safety in motorcycle riding and handling, and the importance of being a more responsible rider on the road.

    The next Yamaha Sight Safe Run is scheduled on May 19, 2019, at Naga CIty.
