The YZF-R15M is powered by a refined 155cc LC4V SOHC F.I. engine and VVA. This new engine gives you enhanced horsepower with a higher engine displacement, as well as improved overall efficiency with better fuel consumption. Its performance is also complemented by an Assist and Slipper Clutch, Traction Control System, and Quick Shifter; a first in a Yamaha single-cylinder motorcycle for quick and smooth, clutchless, full-throttle upshifts.
The YZF-R15M continues to carry the prestigious R-Series DNA. The aerodynamic body design features new fairings for excellent high-speed stability. The slim profile and small frontal projected area work well with the M1-styled bubble windscreen to help prevent oncoming wind from being drawn in around the rider when in a racing tuck. This helps reduce discomfort when riding at high speeds. The new headlight of this model features a single bi-functional LED unit emitting both the low and high beams. It is characterized by increased brightness, a broad beam spread, and little variance in illumination across the beam. The new LCD instrument panel house newly added indicators for shift timing, the Traction Control System, individual left and right turn signals, and more. The panel has two display modes for the rider to choose from: a Street mode placing priority on information necessary for riding on city streets and a Track mode that limits information to what a rider wants for the racetrack, such as altering the tachometer bar to begin at 6,000rpm.
This model doesn’t skip on comfort as well with its upside-down front forks that provide excellent shock absorption. The Dual Channel ABS gives maximum braking control from both front and rear disc brakes. The Super Wide Tire is measured at 140mm and is specially designed for better grip on wet or dry surfaces. For safety, the engine does not operate when the side stand is down. This ensures that the motorcycle is used with the side stand folded up.
It also includes notable features such as the aluminum swing arm, special seat, dual horn, meter panel switch, top cap engraved with logo, 3D logo, and gray color muffler guard.
