    Ericsson appointed Martin Wiktorin as President and Unit Head of the Philippines and the Pacific Islands last July 1, 2017, expanding on his current role as President and Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei.

    Wiktorin has more than 20 years of Ericsson global experience and held senior and executive leadership roles in Northeast Asia and Europe.

    Head of Ericsson Market Area South East Asia, Oceania and India Nunzio Mirtillo said: “Martin’s experience and insights of mature ICT markets will see us deliver further value to our customers in the Philippines and the Pacific Islands, as we partner with them to accelerate transformation and growth.”

    Wiktorin has experience in diverse roles and responsibilities such as Vice President for System Solutions in China, leading Ericsson’s Radio Systems Business in Eastern Europe and overseeing the company’s Mobile Switching Business in Sweden. He was also the Head of Ericsson Korea and President and CEO of Ericsson-LG Co. Ltd., in Northeast Asia.

    “The Philippines has consistently registered growth in subscriber additions in the past years, and its operators continue to be amongst the most innovative in the region,” Wiktorin said. “I’m excited to take on this challenge and to have the opportunity to lead such a talented team. We are absolutely committed to helping our existing customers and new customer segments in the country to innovate and create solutions for their end users.”

    Current Country Manager for the Philippines and Pacific Islands Sean Gowran will continue fulfilling his responsibilities in this position until the end of the year.
