SailPoint, an enterprise identity security company, is addressing this gap head-on with the launch of SailPoint Agentic Fabric, a new solution built specifically to govern and protect AI agents and other non-human identities at scale.
Why Non-Human Identities Are a Growing Risk
Traditional identity security was designed with human users in mind. But today, AI agents, machines, and applications are accessing the same sensitive systems that people do, and they vastly outnumber human identities in most large organizations. Without proper governance, those agents represent a significant and largely unmanaged attack surface.
SailPoint’s existing Identity Security Cloud already handles human identity management. Agentic Fabric extends that same model to the non-human side, bringing discovery, visibility, governance, authorization, and protection into a single platform. The goal is to give enterprises a unified way to manage every identity across the organization, regardless of whether it belongs to a person or a machine.

What Agentic Fabric Actually Does
SailPoint Agentic Fabric is built around three core functions.
The first is discovery. The platform creates a complete inventory of AI agents, machine identities, and applications across major cloud environments, agent frameworks, and endpoints. It then maps the relationships between those agents and the critical data they interact with, using what SailPoint calls an identity graph.
The second is governance. Every AI agent is mapped to a human owner, which ties non-human activity back to human accountability. Lifecycle controls and access policies are managed from within the same platform.
The third is protection. Agentic Fabric enforces real-time authorization controls, threat detection, and automated responses to help organizations maintain least-privilege access as AI agents operate.

Two New Packages and a Free Trial
Alongside Agentic Fabric, SailPoint is introducing two new tiered offerings designed to match the pace of enterprise AI adoption.
The first, Agentic Business, establishes foundational governance with least-privilege access across all identities. The second, Agentic Business Plus, steps it up with zero-standing privilege, just-in-time access, and stronger enforcement controls.
SailPoint is also offering a free trial of its Discovery Tool, which gives organizations immediate visibility into shadow AI and unmanaged applications running in their existing environments. The tool is now available to new customers as a standalone offering and to existing IdentityIQ and Identity Security Cloud customers.
