Mastercard has announced the appointment of Jason Crasto as country manager for the Philippines. In this role, he will oversee the organization’s strategic direction and business operations in the market.
As country manager, Jason will spearhead Mastercard’s efforts to support the Philippines’ national digital payments growth and transformation roadmap, working closely with public and private sector partners to advance smart, secure, and inclusive payments solutions for consumers and businesses.
Jason brings over two decades of experience in the payments industry, having led impactful initiatives across consumer, commercial, and digital payments. Since joining Mastercard in 2020, he has managed key client relationships and product portfolios, driving innovation in card payments, commercial solutions, and digital ecosystems.

Jason’s appointment comes as the Philippines continues to make significant strides in digital payments adoption, with over 57% of retail transactions in 2024 now digital, according to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. His strong experience in scaling digital ecosystems across South Asia will be key to sustaining this positive momentum, and unlocking new opportunities for innovation and inclusion through Mastercard’s solutions and collaborations in the market.
Before joining Mastercard, Jason held positions across global payment networks, banks, and loyalty platforms, bringing strong expertise in product management, business development, and portfolio strategy. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics.
