The two-day festival featured tournaments, card trading, pack openings, trivia, and a collectibles marketplace for players and hobbyists.

SM Cyberzone brought together collectors, competitive players, and casual hobbyists for Cyberzone Card Collective, a two-day trading card game festival held on August 29 and 30 at the Main Mall Atrium of SM Mall of Asia.

Held as the capstone of Cyberzone’s Tech and Play Month, the event expanded the brand’s gaming community activities beyond gadgets and consoles and into the growing world of tabletop card games. Players and collectors were able to compete, trade, open packs, and spend time with fellow enthusiasts around some of the hobby’s most popular titles.

The tournament lineup featured Pokémon TCG, Magic: The Gathering, and Riftbound: League of Legends, bringing together both experienced players and newcomers for competitive matches throughout the weekend.

Beyond the tournaments, attendees could trade cards, join TCG trivia and card break sessions, and browse a marketplace featuring card merchants and collectibles. Tournament participants and winners also received booster packs and other game-related items from the featured titles.

Trading card enthusiasts faced off throughout the two-day festival at the Main Mall Atrium of SM Mall of Asia.

The mix of competition and community activity gave Card Collective a broader appeal beyond tournament play. Collectors could focus on trading and discovery, while casual fans had opportunities to engage with the hobby without having to compete.

A different side of the gaming community

“Card Collective showed us that our community goes beyond gadgets and consoles,” said Patrick G. Pacla, vice president for Cyberzone Management.

Card Collective gave players opportunities to compete, trade, join trivia and card break sessions, and explore collectibles.

“Over two days, we saw collectors and players come together to trade, compete, open packs, and simply enjoy the hobby they love. The energy was incredible, and that’s exactly what Cyberzone is all about: bringing passionate communities together, creating unforgettable experiences and giving enthusiasts a place to connect at their most loved SM mall.”

The event follows other community-focused Cyberzone activities this year, including Cyberzone Game Fest, and reflects a broader effort to create spaces around different forms of gaming culture and fandom.
