Billed as the “King of AI Selfies,” the lineup focuses on front-facing cameras that keep skin tones true to color, preserve facial details, and offer AI tools to elevate every selfie.

The HUAWEI nova Series has long been aimed at young people who love to create, curate, and share. HUAWEI puts its most advanced front-camera technology into the line, blending high-performance tech with trend-driven design.
This year’s nova 16s Series carries that forward with front and rear True-to-Color cameras, a 200MP main camera, and 5G connectivity. Smart AI imaging tools, including AI Composition and AI Move, make photos easier to enhance.
FRONT AND REAR TRUE-TO-COLOR CAMERAS
Whether it’s vlogging at a weekend music festival, shooting outfit photos in bright sunlight, or snapping late-night hangouts, the HUAWEI nova 16s Pro’s dual front camera system helps capture colors as they appear in real life.
The exclusive Front True-to-Color Camera uses a 1.5MP multispectral sensor and pixel-level spectral perception algorithms to detect ambient color temperatures. This helps reproduce colors more naturally in tricky lighting such as neon concert lights or harsh midday sun. HUAWEI says it improves color accuracy by 120 percent and spatial resolution by 100,000x compared with the HUAWEI nova 14, based on lab data, helping skin tones and makeup look true to life.
Alongside the 50MP Ultra Portrait Camera, the nova 16s Pro has a 1/2.5-inch front camera sensor that captures more light for clearer shots at night parties or dimly lit dinners. The Ultra Portrait Camera also introduces what HUAWEI calls the industry’s first 0.8x to 5x Selfie Zoom, covering everything from ultra-wide group shots to close-ups of eye makeup or accessories.
A 200MP MAIN CAMERA AND A QUAD-CAMERA SETUP
On the back, the nova 16s Pro has a four-camera system with a dedicated Rear True-to-Color Camera that improves color accuracy across all the other rear lenses. Portraits shot from the front or the rear should show authentic, natural skin tones.
The setup is anchored by a 200MP RYYB main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and F1.8 aperture, designed to capture more light for clearer low-light photos. It also lets users crop into distant concert stages or travel destinations while keeping details clear.
AI TOOLS FOR YOUNG CREATORS
The nova 16s Series includes a set of AI photo tools:
- AI Composition: A built-in photography assistant that gives real-time guidance on lighting, perspective, and subject positioning.
- AI Move: Repositions subjects within a frame.
- AI Remove: Erases photobombers and background clutter with seamless color blending.
- AI De-Glare: Removes distracting reflections from shots taken through glass or other reflective surfaces.
- AI Best Expression: Scans multiple captures and swaps in everyone’s best expression, so no one is caught blinking in group photos.
PERFORMANCE AND ALL-DAY BATTERY
The nova 16s Series runs on 5G, with faster upload and download speeds for heavy vlogs, high-resolution photos, and online gaming. HUAWEI also highlights instant signal recovery when entering or leaving an elevator and stable connections in weak-signal areas such as basement parking lots.
An upgraded IceBridge Heat Dissipation Architecture supports smoother gameplay and boosted performance for demanding tasks. A 7,000mAh battery and 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo charge the phone up to 40 percent in 15 minutes. The 6.84-inch display has an adaptive 1 to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness.
DESIGN AND DURABILITY
The nova 16s Pro uses an aerospace-grade aluminum mid-frame and Kunlun Glass with a nanocrystal coating, rated for 10x higher drop resistance and 5x higher wear resistance than the previous generation. The body is 7.1mm thin and weighs 218g, with a fingerprint-free Frosted AG Glass back.
Inspired by summer skies and rolling waves, the soft icy-blue matte finish and upgraded Twin Star Orbit Ring catch shifting light with a subtle shimmer. The nova 16s Pro comes in Breathing Crystal, Isle Blue, and Starry Black. The nova 16s comes in Breathing Crystal, Starry Black, and Sky White.
SOFTWARE AND ECOSYSTEM
The series runs EMUI 16 with an enhanced Celia AI Assistant that responds to voice commands, answers knowledge-based questions, and can book a ride hands-free. Seamless Cross-OS File Transfer lets users share files and high-resolution photos with Apple devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and MacBook.
HUAWEI AppGallery provides access to apps such as GCash, BDO, Shopee, and Grab, and to Google essentials including Gmail, YouTube, Drive, Meet, and Docs.

Official pre-orders open on October 30, 2026. The HUAWEI nova 16s is offered at a promo price of PHP29,999 and the HUAWEI nova 16s Pro at PHP39,999, a limited-time PHP5,000 discount for early buyers. All pre-orders include a gift bundle worth up to PHP14,997.
