Google’s hot new venture into hardware is the Google Pixel: the first smartphone with the Google Assistant built in.
The five-inch screen base Pixel version boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip with four cores. The chip also has X12 LTE support which is faster than the X10 LTE supported by the 810 chip.
Graphics-wise, the phone has a powerful Adreno 530 GPU for its 16 million-color AMOLED display with 1080p resolution.
One of Google’s main selling points for the phone is its 12.3-megapixel camera which the company says is the “highest rated smartphone camera” by DxOMark which can take great pictures at any lighting condition. The front-facing camera on the other hand is eight megapixels with an f/2.4 aperture.
The Pixel has four GB of RAM and has storage options of either 32 GB or a massive 128 GB.
The phone runs the latest version of Nougat and is compatible with Daydream VR. And did we mention it has a 3.5mm jack?
