Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) inaugurates its newest dealership in Talisay City in Negros Occidental under MG Gateway South Corporation (GSC). Situated along the main road of Lacson Street in Zone 15 Poblacion, it has a land area of 4,200sqm that shows off a 7-vehicle display at the main showroom and 18 car bays in the service area.
Negros Occidental is the northwestern half of Negros, the fourth-largest and second-most populated island of the Philippines. Known to be the country’s “sugarbowl” because of its countryside being rich in extremely sweet raw sugar canes. But with Bacolod as its capital, the province embraced urbanization over the years. Commerce has taken shape through investments and establishments such as oil companies’ factories, bottling plants, steel fabricators, business processing outsourcing hubs, PEZA-registered IT parks and centers, and domestic and international airports.
“We are extremely thankful and very humbled to be given this opportunity to open another Mitsubishi dealership. This is also very special to us because this is our first dealership in the province of Negros Occidental,” according to Markane Goho, chairman of the Gateway Group. “We are fully committed to contribute in increasing the sales and market share as well as uplifting the Mitsubishi brand image. An online gathering was held to officially welcome Mitsubishi Talisay Negros to the brand’s expansive dealer network. In attendance were the Gateway Group management led by chairman Markane Goho and president Raymund Basubas, along with MMPC managers and executive officers led president and CEO Takeshi Hara. It was also in celebration of the re-launch of Mitsubishi Motors Quezon Avenue which is now under the same group.
