Leading truck manufacturer, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), recently announced that there will be a change in its leadership in the 2nd quarter of this year. Hajime Koso, IPC’s longest-serving president for seven years, will be succeeded a senior executive from Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan (IML). Coming in as the new president for Isuzu PH is Noboru Murakami.

Under Koso’s leadership, the company saw numerous company milestones like its 300,000 sales milestone, the introduction of a new parts hub in Metro Manila that eased the delivery of parts to different dealerships nationwide, the launch of the Isuzu Mobile Medic service, a strong Dealer Expansion program, and a new Isuzu Outlet Standardization, to name a few.

He also led the company in one of its most challenging times, continuing its operations whilst the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining its number 1 position in the truck market, and launching new models in the middle of it all.

Leaving a strong legacy in IPC, Koso also started to introduce a more sustainable path for IPC in the future. This new direction will then be passed on to Murakami, who is expected to drive the company to a more sustainable and eco-friendlier route in the years ahead.

Assigned to handle different markets under IML, Murakami brings with him years of experience and expertise in the truck industry, that will help solidify the company’s number 1 position in the Philippine truck market.
