HMPH and PNP sign aftersales agreement for PNP Hyundai Patrol Cars

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) formally pledged to extend its aftersales support to the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) existing fleet of Hyundai Patrol Cars. This consists of 81 Grand Starex and 49 Elantra units which were turned over by the Republic of Korea (ROK), through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korean National Police Agency (KNPA), to the country’s principal police force.

Furthermore, KOICA through KNPA has committed to PNP financial aid which covers USD245,000 worth of preventive maintenance and related services as well as USD145,000 worth of Hyundai Genuine parts, components, and materials. These shall be fulfilled and carried out through the Authorized Dealers or Service Centers nationwide under HMPH.

So, we are very honored to be assisting and providing our modern-day heroes with quality aftersales that will help them carry out their daily duties easily and safely,” according to HMPH president Eric Lee. “PNP’s fleet of Hyundai patrol cars will be kept at the highest level of operational reliability and roadworthiness thanks to the expert care of our certified technicians and aftersales personnel. Not only that, they can be assured that every time, only the latest diagnostics equipment and genuine compatible parts will be used”.

Also present at the signing ceremony held last January 11, 2023, at Camp Crame, was PNP director for logistics Police Major General (PMGEN) Ronaldo Olay. “Again, to our proponents from KOICA and HMPH as well as to our counterparts from KNPA, thank you very much. The preventive maintenance service will ensure that our 130 vehicles’ life span will be prolonged. As the life of human beings is important, similarly, the vehicle life and condition are also important. This is in line with the CPNP’s peace and security framework entitled MKK=K which stands for Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapan and Kaunlaran. Today falls under Malasakit, which can be aligned and dubbed as ‘Malasakit para sa Kagamitan nang Kapulisan’ which will help save resources of the government in general,” he said. The signed agreement shall range for 2 years but subject to extension on the account of both parties.
