A total of 1,124 Raider R150 riders from across Mindanao converged in Davao City for the exciting Raider Big Ride–Mindanao, held last June 9, 2024. The event brought together motorcycle enthusiasts for a thrilling parade in celebration of the Suzuki Raider’s supremacy as the Underbone King in the Philippines for more than two decades.
The event was Suzuki’s way of showing its gratitude to Raider enthusiasts for their continued patronage. The convoy saw participation from various motorcycle clubs, including the R150 Raider Fi Club, Allied Raider R150 Riders Club, Davao Riders Club, Philippine Raider R150 Fi Club Inc., R150 Allstar Nation, Raider R150 Riders Davao City, Suzuki Tachometrix, Team Motor Tech, Torque Riders Organization Philippines Inc, among others.
Suzuki Philippines Incorporated, represented by regional sales manager for Mindanao Dave Obrial, marketing communications group head Edelyn Yanilla, products team acting group head Victoria Caringal, and field marketing group head Johnny De Guzman, expressed its appreciation to the riders and highlighted the importance of road safety.
The Raider Big Ride-Mindanao was further fueled by the presence of popular Motovloggers and Suzuki motorcycle owners Reed Motovlog and Kumander Daot, along with well-known riders from Davao City: Kuyz TV, Boy Baldo, Frozz Moto, Tope Motovlog, Kabuhay Moto TV, and Rodkris Bisdak Motovlog.
Scenic Ride and Parade
The riders embarked on a thrilling 35km journey from Roxas Avenue, Davao City to Panabo Gym, Davao Del Sur. The stretch of convoy went as long as 3kms attesting the Raider R150’s
dominance along with the proud owners.
Culminating the event, Suzuki prepared fun activities and games for the riders. Hosted by Dj Kath Tan, Panabo Gym felt the energy of the riders with the Raider 150 Riders Davao City Dance Troupe and Tawag ng Tanghalan’s The Rivera Sisters’ vibrant performances.
On to the most exciting part, Suzuki’s ultimate gift to the riders: the brand raffled off a brand new V-STROM 250 SX motorcycle, which Alexander Maulana won.
The event is the second leg of the Suzuki Raider Big Ride, which celebrates more than two decades of unrivaled dominance of its flagship model, the Raider R150. The first ride happened in Luzon, with over 1,000 riders passing by the expressway, creating another history in the Philippine motoring industry. Aiming to make another unforgettable impression, the Mindanao leg once again solidified the strong bond between Suzuki Philippines and its passionate motorcycle community.
