Toyota Motor Philippines will conduct regional Body, Paint, and Estimation training for instructors from Toyota affiliates across Asia through 2029.
Toyota Motor Philippines has been selected by Toyota Motor Asia to conduct regional Body, Paint, and Estimation training for instructors from Toyota affiliates across Asia.
The program, initiated under the global direction of Toyota Motor Corporation, is designed to standardize after-sales skills development across markets in line with Toyota competency standards. TMP was chosen after a training capability assessment that considered the expertise of its Filipino instructors as well as its available facilities and equipment.
First regional batch trains in Laguna

TMP conducted the first leg of the program from September 7 to 18, 2026 at its head office and manufacturing plant in Santa Rosa City, Laguna.
Four Body Repair Instructors from Toyota affiliates in Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, and Pakistan took part in lectures and practical exercises covering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on applications.
The training is scheduled to continue until 2029, with TMP set to conduct three courses during its first year to accommodate participants from Toyota affiliates across the region.
Filipino instructors take on a regional role
The program gives TMP’s Filipino instructors a larger role in developing after-sales technical capability across Toyota’s Asian network.
In addition to training regional counterparts, the initiative also gives TMP an opportunity to strengthen its own instruction methods and technical capability. The company says this supports its broader focus on service quality and Toyota’s global “Best in Town” philosophy.
More global certifications ahead
This year, TMP’s BPE team earned two Toyota regional certifications in Paint Instructor Course Step 1 and Estimation Instructor Course Step 1.
Further training is lined up through 2027 for Toyota, Masters, and Professional global certifications, extending the team’s development in body repair, paint, estimation, and training delivery.
Building after-sales capability across the region
TMP continues to position workforce development as an important part of its manufacturing and after-sales operations.
The regional training milestone follows the six-medal performance of TMP’s Filipino line team at the Toyota 2026 Asia Pacific Skills Contest in August, adding to the company’s recent regional recognition in technical skills development.
