Globe is expanding access to Khan Academy Philippines through GoLEARN, connecting students, parents, and teachers to free digital learning resources that can complement classroom instruction.

The initiative comes during National Teachers’ Month and forms part of Globe’s broader efforts to support educators through technology and digital learning.

SUPPORT FOR TEACHERS IN AND BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

Teachers can use Khan Academy to assign lessons and mastery goals, track student progress, and identify learning gaps that may require additional attention.

Khanmigo, an AI-powered tool available free to teachers, can also assist with lesson planning, rubrics, exit tickets, differentiation, and other classroom preparation. The tool is intended to help educators spend less time building materials from scratch and more time engaging with students.

“Teachers play an extraordinary role in helping young Filipinos learn, grow, and keep moving forward, but they don’t have to do it alone,” said Yoly Crisanto, chief sustainability and corporate communications officer at Globe.

“Technology can lighten their load while giving students more ways to learn beyond the classroom. By making trusted learning resources easier to access, we hope to support teachers and families as partners in every child’s learning journey.”

KHAN ACADEMY PHILIPPINES LOCALIZES LEARNING

Khan Academy Philippines is the first international licensee of global nonprofit Khan Academy and is working to localize educational content aligned with the Department of Education curriculum.

The organization received the first DepEd Partner-Hero award in January 2026 and, according to the release, was also recognized by the Department of Education for its role in the country’s most recent PISA achievement.

“Every learner should have the opportunity to learn at their own pace and get the support they need,” said Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine, president and CEO of Khan Academy Philippines.

“Working with Globe allows us to bring Khan Academy closer to more Filipino families and educators, making quality learning resources easier to discover and use wherever learning happens.”

GOLEARN ADDS DATA FOR KHAN ACADEMY ACCESS

Go59 includes 1GB of allocated data for Khan Academy, while Go+99 with GoLEARN includes 8GB.

Khan Academy is available through Globe’s Go59 and Go+99 with GoLEARN offers.

Go59 includes 1GB of allocated data for Khan Academy, while Go+99 with GoLEARN includes 8GB. The allocation gives users access to Khan Academy lessons through the web or mobile app, including instructional videos, interactive exercises, quizzes, and other resources in STEM, English, and additional subjects.

The allocation also provides students and teachers access to Khanmigo, extending the learning experience with AI-powered assistance.

PARENTS CAN FOLLOW LEARNING PROGRESS

The platform is also designed to extend learning support into the home.

Parents can use the Parent Dashboard to monitor their child’s activity, assignments, and progress reports, making it easier to identify areas that may need additional support.

Teachers, meanwhile, can use assignments, mastery goals, and progress reports to see how students are performing and identify learning gaps across a class.

ACCESS THROUGH THE GLOBEONE APP

Globe customers can subscribe to Go59 or Go+99 with GoLEARN through the GlobeOne app.

Users can also access Khan Academy by opening GlobeOne, tapping Help, selecting Looking for Life Essentials?, and choosing Khan Academy under the Education section. From there, students, parents, and teachers can sign up or log in using the role appropriate to them.

Students can choose their grade level and subjects before beginning lessons and practice activities. Parents can connect an existing child account or create one for a child under 13, while teachers can create classes, add students, assign learning materials, and use progress reports.

Teachers in the Philippines can also access Khan for Educators (Philippines), an introductory course intended to help them integrate Khan Academy into classroom practice.

DIGITAL LEARNING AS A SHARED SUPPORT SYSTEM

Globe is a partner of the National Teachers’ Month Coordinating Council and is positioning the Khan Academy partnership as part of a broader effort to give educators and families more tools for supporting students.

By making Khan Academy and Khanmigo easier to reach through GlobeOne and GoLEARN, the initiative connects classroom instruction, independent learning, parental involvement, and teacher preparation within a wider digital learning ecosystem.
