The first ever mock exams for the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) is now available for everyone taking the UPCAT this year just through a computer and internet connection.
AHEAD, the leading and most awarded tutorial and review center in the country has just introduced this innovation to prepare students who will take the UPCAT this coming October 21-22, 2017.
UP remains to be the university with the largest number of applicants every year. UPCAT is known to be one of the country’s most competitive exams, having 70,000 examinees of which only 10 percent pass. Tuition in UP will be waived next year so more students are expected to take the UPCAT.
AHEAD’s mission and vision include reaching more students; and through the internet, students from as far as Visayas and Mindanao can now experience taking the exam under time limit.
With the UPCAT online mock exam, students will be able to take a simulated test that will give them an idea about their chances of passing the UPCAT.
AHEAD helped create the tutorial and review industry in the country. It is known for creating many firsts. AHEAD published the first UPCAT book and UPCAT APP. It is the first review center that offered review specifically for UP, Ateneo and De La Salle. AHEAD is also the first center to offer a program that guarantees passing, or your money-back.
Aside from UPCAT, AHEAD also offers an online mock exam for the De La Salle University, and in the following months the University of Asia and the Pacific and other state universities’ entrance exams. Like UP, other state universities will also waive their tuition fee next year.
The mock UPCAT is like the real exam — it contains the same subjects and it’s also four hours long. AHEAD advises that students be ready with two bond papers to be used as scratch papers for math; snacks and drinks; and to go to the restroom before they start the test.
The test must be taken in front of a desktop or laptop with the following specifications and programs.
- A minimum internet speed of 1MBPS
- Desktop or laptop computer with at least 2GB of RAM
- Windows 7 or higher / OS X Mavericks (Version 10.9) or higher
Taking mock tests will help students have a feel of the exam so they will be more at ease during the exam.
Students who need support after getting their scores can get explanation from AHEAD tutors in AHEAD branches in Quezon City, Ortigas, Alabang, Antipolo, Tuguegarao, Baguio, and Makati. Or they can get online tutorial so they don’t have to travel to the tutorial center but speak to a teacher live.
They can inquire about this by emailing [email protected] or calling 09178911187.
