Microsoft’s newest addition to the Lumia nameplate has just hit the shores of the Philippines.
The Lumia 640 XL, as its name suggests, offers huge convenience and portability to its users with its many productivity and personal computing features. Its highlight is an integrated Microsoft Office experience that no other brand can offer. Running Windows 8.1, Lumia 640 XL users will be one of the firsts to get an upgrade to Windows 10 as it rolls out later this year.
Apart from the Microsoft experience, the 640 XL comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB ROM (expandable via micro-SD card) under its hood. Powering its many functions, is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that clocks in at 1.2GHz. Rounding out the 640 XL are a 5.7-inch HD display, 3000mAh battery, 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing snappers, and dual-SIM slots.
Features readily available out-of-the-box include Glance Screen, one-swipe Action Center, Word Flow, and Live Folders. Those who purchase the Lumia 640 XL will also get a one year free subscription to Office 365 and 1TB of OneDrive storage as added perks.

The Lumia 640 XL will be available in the Philippines with a sticker price of PHP 11,990 starting May 1, 2015, in matte cyan, orange and black, as well as glossy white.
Microsoft also introduced the Lumia 540 Dual Sim which is designed for the younger segment of the consumer market. It will be available by June this year in cyan, orange, white, and black for only PHP 7,990.
