Huawei is definitely not going to be left behind in the Windows mobile OS game. The Ascend W1, the company’s first ever smartphone to run Windows Phone 8, carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon 54 MSM8230 dual-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz and an Adreno 305 GPU at 400MHz. Powering the device is a 1950mAh battery that can provide approximately 470 hours of standby time and can give heavy smartphone users up to 1.24 days of use. The Ascend W1 features a four-inch, 800 x 480-resolution IPS LCD touch screen with OGS technology that promises users a vivid, natural-looking display, even when used directly under harsh sunlight. The device is currently available only in the color blue, but Huawei says they will soon be giving us more color options for the W1, namely, white, black and red.
