The story of Project CAREventure begins not with grand stages or loud cheers, but with the quiet intention to care. Organized by Hataw PUP, the initiative invites students to step into a space where empathy becomes action and inclusivity is celebrated through color, music, and play.
Unlike the usual campus festivities, CAREventure will unfold on September 25, 2026, at Handicapped Center Lourdes, Inc. in Pandacan, Manila, where children of varying abilities will be welcomed into a day designed just for them. The venue will come alive with energy—art tables ready to be filled with crayons and brushes, music set to echo through recreation activities, and laughter bound to spill from
games that will remind everyone that joy knows no boundaries.
But the event is more than its festivities. It is a statement: that being an Iskolar ng Bayan means carrying the responsibility to serve communities often overlooked. Through workshops like “Happy Heart Creations”, music & recreation activities under “Care Bears’ Groovy Moves”, and meaningful interactions during “Rainbow Swish!”, students discover that care is not abstract; it is lived, shared, and
felt in every interaction.
Behind the scenes, the dedication of student leaders ensures that every detail reflects purpose. Haziel Jachin D. Bautista, overall project head, together with Alessandra D. Demos and Maricris L. Jimenez, leads the project’s overall preparation and execution. Their work embodies the spirit of Hataw PUP: merging advocacy with artistry, and service with solidarity.
