In today’s fast-evolving digital landscape, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Microsoft Student Community (MSC) continues to redefine what it means to be a student-led tech movement. This year, MSC proudly presents TechShift 2025, its flagship technology event that brings together students, professionals, and innovators to explore the possibilities of Microsoft tools and platforms.
Held at the Microsoft Office, TechShift 2025 was held at One Ayala West Tower in Makati City. The event is not just a showcase—it’s a dynamic space for collaboration, growth, and impact.
The event kicks off with “Dive into Microsoft Student Communities,” led by Mr. Vash Puno, the current President and Gold Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador of PUP-MSC. This session introduces attendees to the mission, initiatives, and achievements of MSC, while highlighting its integration with the broader Microsoft Student Community network. Participants will discover how joining the community opens doors to global learning experiences, mentorship programs, and industry connections. It’s a powerful invitation to become part of something bigger—where students don’t just learn, but lead.
Following this is “Riding the AI Wave,” presented by Mr. Ziggy Zueleta, an international Microsoft Certified Trainer and LinkedIn Learning Instructor. In a world where artificial intelligence is reshaping industries, this talk reframes the narrative: AI isn’t here to replace us—it’s here to empower us. Mr. Zueleta guides attendees, especially beginners in IT and computer science, on how to build skills that complement AI, identify human-centered roles that machines cannot replicate, and thrive in a tech-driven future. His insights offer a refreshing perspective on how students can stay relevant and resilient in the age of automation.
The program concludes with “Turning Ideas into Impact with Microsoft,” led by Mr. Rhandie Sales Jr., the current Vice President of PUP-MSC and a Beta Microsoft Student Ambassador. Drawing from his experience as a student-developer, Mr. Sales shares practical strategies for leveraging Microsoft products to innovate, streamline processes, and deliver real-world solutions. His session is a call to action—encouraging students to move from ideation to execution, and from potential to purpose.
TechShift 2025 is more than an event—it’s a movement for students all around the country. It reflects MSC’s unwavering commitment to fostering creativity, professional growth, and community empowerment. As the digital future unfolds, PUP-MSC invites every student to shift gears, embrace innovation, and become a driving force in tech.
As a pioneering organization within the PUP College of Computer Information Science, MSC is officially accredited by the PUP Student Council Commission on Audit and stands as a beacon of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
At its core, MSC is more than just a student group—it’s a launchpad for transformation. With a strong focus on Microsoft technologies, the community offers hands-on upskilling initiatives in Azure, Power Platform, Power Automate, and more. These programs are designed to bridge academic knowledge with real-world applications, empowering students to become future-ready professionals equipped to lead in a rapidly changing world. The organization plans to have technical workshops, seminar sessions with tech professionals, and ultimately organize a hackathon that gathers all the tech enthusiasts and Microsoft leaders to participate in.
