Manila, Philippines – Training consultancy social enterprise YGOAL, Inc. has launched YGOAL University, an educational program for individuals seeking personal and professional development, in celebration of its fourth year anniversary.
YGOAL University is a series of short learning courses where professionals can enroll in part time workshops on their desired development programs. The short courses aim to deepen their understanding of their respective industries, enhance their professional expertise, and improve their skills, to boost their chances of career and business growth. It connects students to YGOAL’s community of experts from various disciplines, promoting human-centered education to harness empathy, prototyping, idea-building and inspiration.
Beginning this October, the short courses will provide training programs on the following: Professional and Organizational Development, Strategic Project Implementation, Boosting Organizational Capacity through External Engagement, Responsible Financial Processes, and Using IT in Boosting Business Solutions.
YGOAL has partnered with start-up companies Dialogue, Participation, and Partnerships (DPP), Powerhouse Consultants, Gava, and Roots Katipunan; which will be the facilitators of the program. Along with these partners, YGOAL Board of Directors and industry professional consultants will spearhead the training activities.
“We started YGOAL after seeing the need for continuing education programs for professionals locally. We partnered with companies to enable us to help their employees attain higher career development through our trainings,” said Ireneo Demecais Jr., YGOAL, Inc. YGOAL, Inc. is a social enterprise providing consultancy services to partner companies to support its social mission of supporting youth organizations find fitting business models. In 2014, YGOAL partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) as the Learning and Design consultant and facilitator for the ASEAN – Student Exchange Program, hosting the 10 ASEAN countries. This year, the social enterprise continues its partnership with DepEd, along with BPI Foundation, as the pioneering organizer of BPI Senior High School Accelerate Program for Employment and Entrepreneurship business academic fair which helps graduating K-12 students find internship opportunities. This will be held on September 28 and 29 at the Kalayaan Hall, SM Aura Premier.
