From August 6 to 8, 2025, UP Circuit will hold InteraCKT 15: New Wonders, a three-day welcome event for incoming Electronics, Electrical, and Computer Engineering freshies, shiftees, and transferees. Now on its fifteenth iteration, InteraCKT helps transition to college life by providing a fun and supportive space to meet new people, learn useful tips, and get a feel of life in EEE beyond what classrooms alone can offer.
The wonders begin with a virtual Welcoming Event on Zoom. This first day focuses on helping the FSTs settle in, make connections, and look forward to the journey ahead of them. Expect fun interactive games with awesome prizes, thrilling raffles, and inspiring talks from partner companies: COL Financial and Eskwelabs. Bringing stories to light, Kwentong EEE is a segment that offers a more personal perspective on life as an EEE student—highlighting real experiences, challenges, and lessons that aim to inspire and connect with incoming students. In this iteration, the talk will be delivered by notable members and alumni of UP Circuit—an active, academic, and non-profit student organization based in UP Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute. This portion will be delivered by Engr. Nathaniel Dimaunahan, first in rank of the recently concluded April 2025 Electronics Engineering Licensure Examination, along with Mr. Algene Capal, a Summa Cum Laude Computer Engineering graduate of 2025 and the outgoing Publicity Division Vice President of UP Circuit, and Mr. Carl Aguilar, an incoming second-year Electronics Engineering student and member of UP Circuit.
Day two brings the event to EEEI with a dynamic and immersive experience. Students will attend Academic Talks designed to prepare them for core subjects like Physics, Math, and introductory EEE courses. The talk will be delivered by Ms. Arabella Ocampo for Physics 71 Elementary Physics I and Mr. Emil Ladores for Math 21 Elementary Analysis I. For the EEE-specific sessions, Mr. Ron Nierva will facilitate a discussion on EEE 111 Introduction to Programming and Computation, Mr. Miguel Valbuena will cover EEE 113 Introduction to Electrical and Electronics Engineering Systems, and Mr. Steven Sison will handle EEE 118 Electrical and Electronics Engineering Laboratory I. The highlight of the day is the Institour, an interactive treasure hunt that guides participants through EEEI—helping them explore essential facilities and bond with fellow batchmates through engaging activities.
The event ends on a high note with the much-awaited UP Diliman Campus Tour! From the scenic paths of the National Science Complex to iconic buildings like the Institute of Mathematics to the National Institute of Physics, students will get to know the campus that will soon feel like home. Guided by the ever-energetic Freshie Relations Committee, the tour gives an exciting preview of student life—including an exclusive sneak peek into the brand-new The Learning Commons Building at the UP College of Engineering Library 2, setting them up with an early edge on study spaces and resources.
At the helm are project heads Maria Anezka Rivera and Aldrich John Macadamia, supported by a great team who stepped up to make the college experience for the FSTs better. Their theme, “New Wonders,” affirms that curiosity is engineering’s most renewable resource—one they aim to nurture.
