LifestyleEducationYAMAN Philippines: The beauty of diversity

Weaving waves of fabrics from threads tinted with differences has never been easy. Just like a skilled weaver intertwining threads to create a masterpiece, YAMAN Philippines intricately combines the passion and enthusiasm of Filipino youth to advocate for responsible mining practices and environmental conservation. Through their dedication and commitment, they knit together a tapestry of empowerment that aims to safeguard our environment and its natural resources for future generations to come.

This year, YAMAN Philippines celebrated its 9th Student Congress with the theme “Hibla: Habi ng Kultura’t Mina,” which aims to engrave responsible mining and environmental sustainability into the hearts and minds of youth while preserving our cultural heritage. It consists of a series of events that span four days and were attended by approximately 200 delegates from institutions offering BS Geology, BS Metallurgical Engineering, BS Mining Engineering, and BS Geological Engineering. The participants were able to enjoy various activities that aim to foster friendship and unity despite the cultural differences that each student was birthed into.
