Bravo! Filipino is the brainchild of Ayala Chairman Emeritus Jaime Zobel de Ayala. Conceived in 2008, this advocacy program aims to celebrate local heritage and culture, showcasing Filipinos’ world-class talent on a larger stage. Through special screenings and festivals, the spotlight is directed towards Filipino filmmakers, providing them with a valuable avenue to share their stories and perspectives with a broader audience. This contributes significantly to enriching our nation’s cultural tapestry.
Directed by the talented Jhett Tolentino, Asian Persuasion unfolds the tale of Mickey, a down-on-his-luck chef portrayed by seasoned actor Dante Basco. In a plot filled with twists and turns, Mickey devises an intricate scheme to evade alimony payments to his ex-wife, Avery, played by the esteemed KC Concepcion. The film also boasts the exceptional talents of Paolo Montalban and Kevin Kreider, with notable cameos from Apl. De. Ap, Rachel Alejandro, and Tony Labrusca.
