Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin of Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben are representing the Philippines in Toyota Motor Asia’s Move Your World Beat, a regional creative campaign that turns everyday vehicle sounds into original musical compositions.
Developed with creative partner VIRTUE Asia, the initiative brings together established and emerging artists from six Asian markets to reinterpret sounds such as clicks, ambient hums, and engineered vehicle tones through their own musical styles. The campaign is designed around collaboration, cultural expression, and contemporary interpretations of regional identity.
Filipino music joins a regional lineup
Paolo and Miguel join Belle Sisoski of Malaysia, Natasha Noorani of Pakistan, Shye of Singapore, Valentina Ploy of Thailand, and 2pillz of Vietnam.
Launched through a TikTok-led creator program, each artist will produce an original piece built from Toyota vehicle sounds. The approach gives each creator room to bring in their own musical identity while working from a common set of automotive sound elements.
For Paolo and Miguel, the project places Filipino music within a broader regional collaboration, allowing their sound to sit alongside different musical traditions and styles from across Asia.
Turning vehicle sounds into creative material
The core idea behind Move Your World Beat is simple: everyday automotive sounds can become raw material for music.
Rather than treating clicks, tones, and ambient vehicle noise as purely functional, participating artists are encouraged to reshape them into rhythm, texture, and melody. The resulting tracks are intended to reflect each artist’s cultural and musical perspective while contributing to a shared regional project.
“At its heart, Move Your World is about Toyota’s commitment to the communities in Asia, the freedom to move, and the thrill and joy of moving forward together,” said Jaja Ishibashi, general manager of Toyota Motor Asia.
“With Move Your World Beat, we bring that same spirit to music, a universal language that unites our communities and moves us all a little closer.”
Regional collective track coming later this year
The campaign will culminate later this year in the release of a regional collective beat combining contributions from artists representing all six participating countries.
The project is also intended to continue beyond its initial rollout, with material created by participating artists feeding into future collaborations centered on creativity, community, and cultural exchange.
By bringing musicians into a mobility campaign, Toyota is extending its regional brand activity beyond vehicles and into culture, using sound as a shared medium that can travel across markets without losing the identity of each participating artist.
