Getting stuck in Metro Manila traffic can easily turn a daily commute into an exhausting part of the day. The GAC GN8 PHEV Executive takes a different approach, combining a spacious cabin, premium second-row seating, intelligent technology, and electrified performance to make long hours on the road more comfortable.
Sitting at the top of GAC’s MPV lineup, the seven-seat GN8 PHEV Executive is designed for families and professionals looking for a more premium level of space, comfort, technology, and performance. It also leads a broader GAC MPV range intended to serve different lifestyles and mobility needs.
“With three distinct models, we are bringing Filipino customers a complete MPV lineup that can serve their changing needs, from flexible daily transit to premium travel and executive mobility,” said Calvin Cheng, president of GAC Philippines. “This reflects our long-term commitment to offer vehicles for every user and every journey.”
Built on more than 10 years of GAC MPV engineering experience and over 880,000 MPVs delivered worldwide, the GN8 PHEV Executive brings together first-class seating, electrified performance, and long-range capability in a full-size seven-seater. Here are five of its standout features.

LUXURY SEATING BEYOND THE FRONT ROW
The second row is the centerpiece of the GN8 PHEV Executive’s cabin.
Its captain’s chairs feature four-way power leg rests, position memory, heating, ventilation, and multi-mode massage functions. One Touch Spa Mode and Zero Gravity seat settings add another layer of comfort, turning the second row into a space designed for longer journeys and daily traffic alike.
The setup is aimed at passengers who want the rear cabin to feel less like ordinary transport and more like a dedicated lounge, particularly for executive travel or family use.
QUALITY-OF-LIFE FEATURES THROUGHOUT THE CABIN
The GN8 PHEV Executive also includes smaller comfort features intended to make everyday travel more relaxing.
Its Zero Breeze Air Conditioning system uses more than 1,600 micro-vents to distribute a gentler, draft-free airflow rather than directing strong air straight toward passengers. The system is complemented by tri-zone climate control and a plasma purifier.
A dual grab-handle arrangement on the B-pillar improves entry and exit, while six-directional seat vibration dampers reduce the effects of road imperfections. Green-tinted acoustic glass also helps isolate the cabin from outside noise.
Together, these features reinforce the GN8’s emphasis on passenger comfort beyond the main seating hardware.
ENTERTAINMENT AND PRODUCTIVITY ON THE GO
The GN8 PHEV Executive combines infotainment and work-friendly features across the front and rear cabin.
Drivers get a full LCD instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Second-row passengers get a smart overhead screen and dual folding tray tables for laptops, meals, or other devices.
A Yamaha 16-speaker audio system completes the setup, giving the cabin a more immersive entertainment experience while also supporting calls and mobile work on the go.
PLUG-IN HYBRID PERFORMANCE WITH OVER 1,000KM RANGE
Underneath the premium cabin is a plug-in hybrid powertrain built around a 2.0-liter turbocharged Miller-cycle engine, a permanent-magnet synchronous motor, and a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.
The system produces a combined 373hp and 630Nm of torque, while delivering up to 120km of electric driving range and more than 1,000km of total combined range.
The high-capacity battery also supports the vehicle’s in-car 220V outlet and can power the Zero Breeze air-conditioning system while parked. This lets passengers stay comfortable without idling the engine.
For charging, DC fast charging can take the battery from 30% to 80% in around 45 minutes. The combination of electric-only capability and longer combined range gives the GN8 flexibility for both city use and longer intercity travel.
BUILT FOR PHILIPPINE WEATHER CONDITIONS
The GN8 PHEV Executive is also engineered for hot weather and heavy rain, two conditions familiar to drivers in the Philippines.
Its climate-control system and battery thermal management are designed to maintain performance in high temperatures, while the electrical architecture uses sealed insulation to protect battery and motor components from heavy splashes and driving rain.
Safety systems include Electronic Stability Program, Hill Descent Control, Traction Control, and Anti-lock Braking with Hydraulic Brake Assist. These systems work together to support stability and control on wet, slippery, or uneven roads.
Cautious driving remains essential in deep water or severe weather, but the vehicle’s protective systems are designed to add confidence in changing road conditions.
