The countdown begins for the third season of the country’s fastest race series with the SEAOIL Radical Challenge Philippines set to return to the tracks this September. And along with the expansion to two race categories is new event partner BPI.

Fueled by race-engineered SEAOIL Extreme-97 fuel with STP additives, the condensed 2024 calendar kicks off at the  Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC) next month. The 3.500 km track provided plenty of action last year with its flowing, high-speed corners allowing for close racing, which the series hopes to repeat during the curtain raiser. It then moves to the  Clark International Speedway (CIS) for the title decider in October.

As before, each round follows a three-day format that consists of Free Practice on Friday, Qualifying, and Race 1 on Saturday, and finally Race 2 and 3 on Sunday. Sprint races are 30 minutes in length from start to finish.

    • Round 1 | September 20-22 (Batangas Racing Circuit)
    • Round 2 | October 11-13 (Clark International Speedway)

SEAOIL renews its support for 2024 as the championships’ title partner and official fuel supplier with SEAOIL Extreme 97  Octane as the approved fuel, guaranteeing maximum performance.

“We are thrilled that the 2024 SEAOIL Radical Challenge Philippines is back. For the third year running, we’re teaming up with Radical Philippines to deliver heart-pounding action on the track. Together with our new sponsor for this season — BPI, we’re excited to welcome both returning racers and fresh talent to participate in the fastest race series in the country,”  shared Edward Cruz, SEAOIL Philippines Inc. head of B2C Segment Marketing.

“Just like last year, we’re powering each team with our top-tier SEAOIL Extreme 97 premium gasoline, designed to deliver maximum performance. This high-octane fuel is available at over 830 SEAOIL stations nationwide, so every Filipino motorist can experience the thrill of racing-grade power. Join us at BRC in September as we witness the adrenaline-pumping action unfold. Let’s make this season the most thrilling one yet.”

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), spearheaded by its Agency Banking arm, is also joining the excitement of the upcoming season of SEAOIL Radical Challenge Philippines. Seen at the forefront of forging strategic partnerships with key players in the retail sector, the fresh partnership with Radical Motorsports Philippines marks a significant step forward in the bank’s efforts to connect with a broader audience and enhance its brand visibility through the high-octane world of racing.

“We are thrilled to tie up for this season with Radical Motorsports Philippines and SEAOIL, a collaborative BPI partner store,” said Rally Jereza, head of BPI Agency Banking. “As the official bank partner of Radical Challenge Philippines, we continue to expand our network and engage with customers in new and exciting ways, allowing us to reach new audiences and  showcase our commitment to making financial services more accessible to every Filipino, in every community – including  the energetic community of racing.”

New for 2024 is the addition of the SR3 Challenge Cup. Quicker than the Radical SR1s, the SR3 features a similar carbon steel space frame chassis covered with a high downforce, lightweight fiberglass body. What makes it different is the RPE  1500cc four-cylinder racing engine that puts out 232 bhp – 50 bhp more than the already-fast SR1. Like its smaller brother,  the SR3 also puts power to the ground via the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox.

The SR1 Challenge Cup and SR3 Challenge Cup share the same grid in 2024, paving the way for an even more adrenaline-filled championship. Notable entries are 2-time AAP Driver of the Year Miguel Quiñones, Thailand Super Series (TSS) driver  Jun Caceres, and Portuguese driver Andre Rodrigues.
