Tata Consultancy Services and Porsche AG have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding the use of artificial intelligence across Porsche’s mobility value chain. The collaboration is backed by a five-year strategic deal and will focus on applying AI across areas including manufacturing, engineering, operations, and customer experience.

As part of the agreement, TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche. TCS, through a subsidiary, will also acquire 100% of MHP Management-und IT-Beratung GmbH, Porsche’s Germany-based management and IT consulting subsidiary, with both the proposed partnership and acquisition subject to regulatory approvals.

Moving AI from ideas to scaled deployment

The new Centre of Excellence will focus on industrializing AI use cases across core mobility technologies. TCS says its role will be to help turn AI concepts into secure and scalable solutions that can improve speed, operational resilience, and competitiveness across Porsche’s product and value chain.

The two companies plan to work together on AI-enabled manufacturing and operations, engineering, and customer experience. The partnership combines Porsche’s automotive engineering expertise with TCS’ capabilities in AI, product engineering, technology, and business transformation.

“TCS is pleased to partner Porsche in its transformation journey,” said K. Krithivasan, CEO and managing director of Tata Consultancy Services. He said the partnership brings together TCS’ AI and engineering capabilities with MHP’s automotive consulting expertise to support software-defined mobility and large-scale AI deployment.

Porsche sharpens its focus on core automotive operations

For Porsche, the transaction involving MHP is also part of a broader effort to focus on its core automotive business while bringing in TCS as a long-term technology partner.

“Porsche is taking another important step in its strategy to focus resolutely on its core business with the transfer of MHP to Tata Consultancy Services,” said Dr. Michael Leiters, CEO of Porsche AG. He added that combining Porsche’s automotive expertise with TCS’ digital technology and AI capabilities is intended to strengthen innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness as mobility becomes increasingly driven by software and data.

The agreement therefore operates on two tracks. One is the direct use of AI across Porsche’s own operations and customer experience, while the other is the transfer of MHP into TCS as part of a broader consulting and technology relationship.

MHP adds automotive and industrial consulting depth

MHP brings more than three decades of experience in management and IT consulting, with particular strengths in automotive and industrial transformation. Its capabilities include business transformation, artificial intelligence, SAP, manufacturing digitalization, connected mobility, software-defined manufacturing, cybersecurity, supply chain management, and platform integration.

The company has around 4,500 employees worldwide and works across automotive, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, energy, and the public sector. TCS says MHP’s industry specialization will complement its global delivery scale and engineering capabilities, particularly in the European automotive market.

Through the proposed acquisition, TCS also expects to strengthen its presence in Germany and deepen its relationships with European automotive and industrial customers.

A five-year platform for AI transformation

The partnership is structured around long-term value creation rather than a single technology deployment. TCS will use the five-year agreement as a framework for scaling AI transformation across Porsche’s organization and wider mobility ecosystem.

That includes building reusable and scalable AI capabilities rather than treating individual use cases as isolated projects. The broader objective is to embed AI more systematically across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and customer-facing functions as Porsche responds to a mobility market increasingly shaped by data and software.

The transaction also reinforces TCS’ wider ambition to expand its AI-led technology services business. The company generated consolidated revenues of more than USD30 billion in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, and operates across 55 countries with 202 service delivery centers, according to the release.

AI becomes more central to automotive transformation

The partnership reflects a broader shift in the automotive sector, where artificial intelligence, software, and data are becoming more deeply integrated into how vehicles are designed, manufactured, operated, and supported.

For Porsche, the collaboration provides access to TCS’ global technology scale while retaining focus on automotive engineering and brand development. For TCS, the agreement and proposed MHP acquisition deepen its exposure to the European automotive sector and add specialized consulting capability in areas closely tied to next-generation mobility.

Deutsche Bank AG acted as financial advisor to TCS, while Noerr served as legal counsel. The proposed acquisition remains subject to the applicable regulatory approvals.

In Summary

Tata Consultancy Services and Porsche AG have entered a five-year strategic partnership to expand AI across Porsche’s manufacturing, engineering, operations, and customer experience functions.

TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence and, through a subsidiary, acquire 100% of Porsche’s MHP management and IT consulting business. MHP brings automotive and industrial consulting expertise and around 4,500 employees worldwide. The proposed transaction and partnership remain subject to regulatory approvals.
