Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, announced the launch of its new export permit services available at select 2GO outlets across the country. It simplifies the export process for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and e-commerce retailers by providing streamlined access to essential permits required for shipping specific products internationally.

The new service covers a wide range of goods including:

    • Fish and Fishery Products: Permits from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) for live, fresh, dried, frozen, and chilled items.
    • Magnetic Media Storage Devices: Certifications from the Optical Media Board (OMB) for items like USB drives and hard disks.
    • Consumer Products: Permits from the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) for medical drugs, food supplements, medical devices, soaps, creams, and toothpaste.
    • Repair and Return Goods: Certificates of Identification for items shipped for repair and return.
    • Certificates of Origin: Documentation available upon request to facilitate export compliance for shippers or consignees.

This enhanced service from FedEx addresses a critical need among SMEs and e-tailers — bridging gaps in regulatory expertise and helping them comply with export requirements. This initiative empowers businesses to navigate international trade with confidence, enabling them to focus on growth while delivering products to global customers more efficiently.
