Gogoro Philippines, the innovative leader in electric mobility and battery-swapping technology, is set to make its high-tech, smart scooters accessible to a broader segment of the Filipino population through prepaid offerings.

Since its commercial launch in December 2023, Gogoro has established itself as a premium brand known for superior quality and advanced features. It initially focused on the upper socio-economic segment but is expanding its scope given the growing interest from other market segments.

To make its innovative two-wheel batteries-swapping ecosystem more accessible to a wider population, the brand is looking to introduce new energy plans for the prepaid market without a lockup period.  It is also looking at offering more affordable financing options in the second quarter of this year, followed by budget-friendly scooter models in the third quarter.

“We hear you and we will soon respond to this clamor as we complete the other critical components of the ecosystem,” said Bernie Llamzon, president and CEO of Gogoro Philippines. “We’re finding the price to speak for your budget.”

Customers have praised the smart and high-tech features of Gogoro scooters, plus its riding comfort and ease of battery-swapping, which distinguish them from traditional two-wheelers.

As it makes its presence felt, the electric mobility pioneer is expanding its network of GoStations to ensure that customers can enjoy uninterrupted rides without worrying about running out of battery.  GoStations provide convenient and accessible charging solutions through battery-swapping technology.

From just five GoStations at the end of last year, the company has already added nine more within Metro Manila and plans to add another seven before the quarter ends, bringing the total to over 21.

It is also looking at expanding geographically, targeting specific cities and towns in North and Central Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. This is part of the company’s commitment to making electric mobility accessible to more Filipinos.

Gogoro Philippines, a partnership between Globe’s 917Ventures Inc., Ayala Corporation, and Taiwan’s Gogoro, is committed to sustainable urban mobility and cutting-edge technology. As the company’s expansion initiatives gain momentum, it is poised to strengthen its foothold and influence in the country.
