Honda Philippines Inc., recently launched its latest sporty underbone motorcycle offering, the Honda Supra GTR 150 at Robinson Novaliches
Dubbed as the “Speed Agressor,” the Honda Supra GTR 150 has both striking good looks, and a powerful 150cc engine that can deliver 11.5 kW or about 16 hp at 9000 RPM, and 13.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh manual transmission so riders can feel fully in control. Honda also claims that the Supra GTR 150 has a maximum speed of 110 kph.
The 4-stroke 4 valve DOHC engine is also fuel-efficient with Honda claiming that the bike can do 42km to a liter.
“The All-New Honda Supra GTR150 will give customers a more aggressive look in tougher style at the right price. Designed to ensure that it fits with the Filipino lifestyle, this new model delivers speed, comfort, and Honda’s top-notch technology and design, making every ride a thrilling experience. The launch of this new product is also in line with our ONE DREAM campaign, which aims to make Honda motorcycles serve as a partner in achieving one’s dream,” said Susumu Mitsuishi, President of Honda Philippines.
As part of the launch, Honda brought MotoGP and Superbike legend Makoto Tamada and racing prodigy Troy Alberto to try out and talk about the new motorcycle. The duo also had the opportunity to showcase the bike’s capabilities via an impromptu lap session on the test-drive track.
“Before, I got a chance to try out this motorcycle, it has power and the handling was very smooth,” said Tamada, who is also serving as Honda Asia’s Racing team’s team manager.
“What stands out for me is the aerodynamic styling, aggressive look, and top-notch technological innovations. This morning we had the chance to try out the Supra GTR 150 and for me, it delivers speed and comfort,” said Alberto who is the only Filipino to earn a podium finish in Honda Thailand Talent Cup.
The Honda Supra GTR 150 is available in two colors: valiant red and black. The New Honda Supra GTR is available in all Honda Philippines dealerships and retails at PHP 102,900.
