The new GN160 combines retro-inspired styling, a 162cc fuel-injected engine, front ABS, and practical features for everyday riding and customization.

Suzuki Philippines has launched the GN160, a new neo-classic motorcycle that joins the brand’s Real Man Series with a mix of heritage-inspired styling, everyday usability, and room for personalization.

The motorcycle made its Philippine debut at RidePH’s 9th Philippine Moto Heritage Weekend at Foro de Intramuros in Manila, where riders, custom builders, content creators, and motorcycle enthusiasts gathered for a celebration of heritage bike culture.

Neo-classic styling for everyday use

The GN160 combines classic proportions with contemporary details, including a round LED headlight, sculpted 11-liter fuel tank, exposed engine, upright handlebar, flat seat, and semi-digital instrument panel.

Its riding position is built around a 760mm seat height, 1,280mm wheelbase, and 18-inch wheels, while 178mm of ground clearance gives it added practicality on less-than-perfect roads. The upright ergonomics and straightforward layout are intended to suit both daily commuting and longer weekend rides.

The clean styling also makes the GN160 suitable for owners who want to personalize their bikes with accessories, modifications, or custom builds.

162cc engine with claimed 50.3km/L efficiency

Power comes from a 162cc fuel-injected engine producing 10.5kW and 14.5Nm of torque.

Power comes from a 162cc four-stroke, two-valve, SOHC, air-cooled engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission and fuel injection.

The engine produces 10.5kW at 8,000rpm and 14.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Suzuki also lists fuel consumption at 50.3km/L, which translates to a claimed range of around 553 kilometers from the 11-liter tank under the stated test conditions.

That range gives the GN160 enough flexibility for regular commuting while also supporting longer rides without frequent fuel stops.

Suspension and braking tuned for practical riding

The GN160 uses a telescopic oil-damped front fork and five-step adjustable twin rear shock absorbers, allowing riders to adjust rear suspension preload based on load and riding conditions.

Braking combines a front disc with ABS and a rear drum brake. The motorcycle also uses aluminum alloy wheels with narrow 18-inch tires, balancing maneuverability, durability, and everyday road use.

For added convenience, the GN160 includes a 5V 2.1A USB charging port, electric start, passing light switch, engine kill switch, and a concealed helmet hook with lock.

Built with customization in mind

Suzuki is also positioning the GN160 as a platform for self-expression, particularly for riders interested in modifying or customizing their motorcycles.

That angle was reinforced at the launch through discussions with motorcycle personalities and builders, including Jay Taruc, Horhe Jacinto of Garage Monkey, and Jerome Quinagutan of Zeki Moto Garage. The bike was also made available for test rides during the event.

“In recent years, we have seen motorcycle usage evolve beyond simple transportation; it has become a true medium for self-expression,” said Koichiro Hirao, president of Suzuki Philippines Incorporated.

“We see more and more riders who aren’t just chasing fleeting trends, but are instead looking for something authentic, something that resonates with their own personal taste. That is exactly why we felt now was the perfect time to bring the GN160 to the Philippines.”

Priced at PHP125,000

The Suzuki GN160 is available in Metallic Matte Concrete Gray and Pearlescent Black at an SRP of PHP125,000.

The model completes Suzuki’s Real Man Series with a motorcycle positioned around classic styling, practical everyday features, and a platform that owners can personalize over time.
