With a video function already available on Instagram, what better way to release the teaser of the commercial release of the Steve Jobs biopic, jOBS, than through the app that made its first footsteps on the iOS platform?
The trailer is said to be the first of its kind to use Instagram to upload a movie trailer. The 15-second video clip was uploaded through the ‘JobsTheFilm’ Instagram account. The trailer gained mixed reactions from users and non-users—so did the actual film when it was premiered at Sundance.
The title role is played by Ashton Kutcher, and the film is essentially about the ups and downs of Jobs’ life and what lead to his co-founding of Apple.
