PLDT Enterprise, the B2B arm of the country’s leading ICT and digital services provider, powers the 133 Negosyo Centers of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) nationwide with connectivity and digital services to support MSMEs in this challenging period.

DTI’s Negosyo Centers play a pivotal role in getting the businesses back on track to survive the current economic climate. In support, PLDT Enterprise is deploying its BEYOND FIBER, Smart WiFi, and PayMaya services to the full-service Negosyo Centers—including 16 additional centers in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

DTI’s Negosyo Center Program was created to streamline the business process for MSMEs, connect them to business development services, seminars, training and programs, and assist in processing documentary requirements.

“DTI acknowledges the significant role of the MSMEs to the Philippine economy and we stand ready to help them not only adjust to the ‘new normal’ but thrive in a ‘Better Normal’. This is why we are thankful to PLDT Enterprise for helping them adjust as they shift to digital platforms,” DTI secretary Mon Lopez said.

Conveniently located in strategic areas such as DTI offices, Local Government Units (LGU), academe, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and malls, the Negosyo Centers makes starting and running a business easier to potential and existing entrepreneurs and MSMEs in all regions. Negosyo Centers are the keys to propelling entrepreneurs on the right track, especially as MSMEs contribute substantially to the Philippine economy.

The Negosyo Centers will be outfitted with BEYOND FIBER, an all-in-one digital solution that offers curated digital tools ranging from productivity and collaboration tools to e-payments and e-commerce solutions.

“PLDT Enterprise recognizes the need for the economy to get back on track during this pandemic, and we are committed to help DTI and their Negosyo Centers in assisting our country’s MSMEs to revitalize their businesses,” said ePLDT president & ceo and SVP & head of PLDT and Smart enterprise business groups Jovy Hernandez.

In addition to powering DTI Negosyo centers across the country, PLDT Enterprise is also providing support for MSMEs who are seeking to accelerate their business with the help of digital payments. By offering PayMaya’s services, entrepreneurs can now accept safe and convenient contactless payments both online and in-stores.

Once they utilize PayMaya for their business, they will also get access to its PayMaya Bizkarte Program which provides MSMEs with the right tools, assistance, and resources to help their businesses thrive in the growing world of digital commerce. This exclusive program offers members with incentives through exclusive promotions and rewards for merchants and their customers, co-marketing push for members’ products and services, as well as online training on entrepreneurial and digital skills to help partners grow their businesses in the eCommerce space.

PLDT Enterprise and DTI’s ongoing alliance is exhibited by PLDT Enterprise’s participation in DTI’s recent MSME Week, as well as in the webinar series discussing fixed and wireless connectivity and digital payments. The webinar series served as training for DTI Negosyo Center frontliners to give them sufficient know-how in rendering business process improvements and standard business registration assistance.

Recently, PLDT Enterprise responded to DTI secretary Mon Lopez’s call to join DTI’s MSME Reboot Program. PLDT Enterprise carved out a free three-month business bundle promotion for MSMEs to get their businesses back on track that includes BEYOND FIBER and wireless broadband Smart BizLTE.
