Acer’s gaming division Predator has formally opened the Philippine qualifiers for the Predator League 2020 last September 10 at the 123 Block in Mandaluyong.
The Predator League is one of the largest eSports league in the country, with qualifiers being held nationwide. For the 2020 competition, Predator has planned 16 regional qualifiers which will be held in TNC cybercafés nationwide.
“This year Acer Philippines is pulling out all the stops as we exhaust our efforts for the Predator League 2020 Philippines Qualifiers. This is an expression of our belief in the limitless talent, dedication, and perseverance of the Filipino esports enthusiasts,” said Manuel Wong, managing director, Acer Philippines.
From the regional qualifiers, 16 PUBG teams and four DOTA2 will battle it out in the Grand Finals which will be held from November 30 to December 1. Winners of the grand finals will be the country’s representatives for the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 which will also be held in the country.
Apart from being the country’s representative, winners will also receive a cut from the PHP 780,000 prize pool. With the grand winner of PUBG taking home PHP 120,000 while winners for DOTA 2 will take home PHP 160,000.
