The Philippines is no stranger to e-sports. Either in the local or international arena, Filipino gamers continue to prove themselves as gamers of competitive skill and tactic. In an effort to further progress the flourishing e-sports scene, the Philippines’ top e-sports organization, TNC Gaming, alongside Malaysian e-sports outlet, SYBER, and the premier gaming, Cafe, High Grounds Cafe today sealed a partnership. The MOU signing ceremony, held on July 25, 2017, took place at the High Grounds Cafe, at Tomas Morato, Quezon City.
Currently based in Malaysia, but expanding to neighboring SouthEast Asian countries, SYBER, an e-sports outlet, is leveling up its efforts in promoting the growth and development of e-sports through its expansion. By creating spaces that feature a high-end environment fit for exciting and challenging gaming, SYBER seeks to up the ante for gamers.
Known as a gaming haven, High grounds Cafe, the first and only high-end gaming cafe in Metro Manila, positions itself as a unique gaming space different from all the rest. The Cafe, powered by TNC Gaming, the top gaming organization in the Philippines, and by top-tier gaming computer brand, Acer Predator,distinguishes itself from other internet shops and cyber cafes through its uniquely themed computer shop interior, its Predator gaming desktops, ultra-fast 500mbps internet, and its cozy cafe.
Sealing a partnership, SYBER and High Grounds Cafe will spearhead upcoming activities in the e-sports scene. Through its activities, the two hope to create a healthy yet competitive community in the South East Asia Region. Connecting players from The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China, the first fruit of the partnership will be the upcoming New Blood Tournament that’ll offer aspiring DOTA2 players a chance to showcase their skills and talent.
