We knew that Samsung Galaxy S II owners would eventually get ICS, but it seems that the Korean company felt that it needed to get ICS to other Galaxy branded devices as well. Samsung has stated that Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note owners will get their upgrades in the first quarter of next year, with other Galaxy devices following soon after. The official word is that only the Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy Note, Galaxy R, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7, and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will be getting the upgrade, which means the lower spec Galaxy Y and Galaxy W will be both out of luck.
